Erik Jones is Professor Europese Studies aan de Amerikaanse SAIS Johns Hopkins University (The Bologna Center). Hij is de auteur van vele wetenschappelijke artikelen en twee boeken: The Politics of Economic and Monetary Union (2002) en Economic Adjustment and Political Transformation in Small States (2008) - de laatste met Nederland en België in de hoofdrol.
