Pussy Riot maakt videoclip van mishandeling in Sotsji

Woensdag werden de leden van Pussy Riot in elkaar geslagen door de Russische veiligheidsdienst. Die gebruikte zwepen en pepperspray de punkband ervan te weerhouden in Sotsji te demonstreren onder een reclameposter voor de Olympische Spelen. Geen van de bandleden werd gearresteerd. Gelukkig maar, want anders hadden ze misschien niet deze videoclip kunnen maken van de brute aanval.

Over het pak slaag is het lied te horen dat Pussy Riot bij hun protest in Sotsji ten gehore had willen brengen. De website New Republic maakte een vertaling naar het Engels van het nummer ‘Putin will teach you how to love’ en voegde wat linkjes toe voor meer begrip van de tekst:
